about

Two member project from New Zealand and Germany. Despite having played several shows, Palatial only put out two very limited releases in 2010 and 2012. Now back after 11 years they present "Perennial Apologia", a brew of live sessions made up of tape players, electronics, scrap metal and various stringed instruments. Somewhat reminiscent of late 80s Zoviet France, Jeph Jerman's classic project City of Worms and Troum, this tape consists of a long A side constructed out of several sittings that took place in in 2019, while side B offers two unedited sessions from 2020, capturing the strange, gloomy feeling of that exceptional year.
